today's fact is that the people on csi: new york are aliens.  and by aliens i don't mean people from other countries, i mean extraterrestrials.

today i had a snow day, which is very exciting seeing as it was supposed to be the first day of classes for this semester and we got something like 20 inches of snow last night.  i love it, it looks so pretty outside.  though i'm mildly dreading walking to class tomorrow morning... oh well.

since today was a snow day, i just bummed around, looking at lolcats and watching firefly.  with that in mind, lets make todays fact about those things.  

the fact is this:  if you watch the series carefully, you'll see that the crew speak what appears to be mandarin on a regular basis.  it's really lolcat in mandarin.  fact.

now i'm going to go read another chapter of fellowship of the ring.

In other news, the midwest is being attacked by a blizzard/storm of massively annoying proportions.  While I love snow, and I have no real problem with this, I just want either class to be cancelled or for the snow to stop.  So there.  Now I'm going to read Fellowship of the Ring and eat vegetable chips.
